Run Your First Airdrop4. Review and Launch

Review and Launch

Open the same campaign, switch to the Schedule tab, confirm the timing, and launch the airdrop.

Estimated time: 2-3 minutes

In this tutorial you will:

  • confirm that the campaign is ready to start
  • check that Start Airdrop is enabled
  • launch the campaign from the Schedule tab
  • open the live Claim Portal

At this point the campaign should already have recipients registered and the vault fully funded. Launch is the final action that makes claims live.

Before launching, make sure:

  • recipients are registered
  • campaign vault is fully funded
  • schedule is valid

UI Elements

  • Schedule tab
  • Start airdrop
  • Start Airdrop
  • Claim portal is live
  • Open Claim Portal

Step 1. Confirm the schedule and start the campaign

The launch action lives in the Schedule tab.

Launching the campaign makes the claim process publicly accessible and cannot be undone.

UI elements:

  • Start airdrop card
  • Start Date (optional)
  • End Date
  • Start Airdrop

What to do:

  1. Open the Schedule tab.
  2. Confirm that the campaign status is still Deposited and ready to start.
  3. Review the start and end timing shown in the schedule card.
  4. Make sure Start Airdrop is enabled.
  5. Click Start Airdrop.
  6. Approve the wallet transaction.

Key details:

  • For this Merkle campaign, the end date should already be set before launch.
  • A blank start field means the campaign starts immediately once you approve the transaction.
  • The schedule card also shows the UTC timing so you can verify the exact launch window.

Common mistakes:

  • launching from the wrong wallet
  • skipping the schedule review because the campaign is already funded
  • confusing immediate start with a scheduled future start

Step 2. Confirm that claims are live

After the transaction succeeds, the campaign moves into the live claim state.

The Claim Portal is the public page where recipients connect their wallet and claim their tokens.

UI elements:

  • status badge Approved
  • top status text showing claims are live
  • Claim portal is live section
  • Open Claim Portal

What to do:

  1. Wait for the launch transaction to finish syncing.
  2. Confirm that the campaign status changes from Deposited to Approved.
  3. Check that the Claim portal is live section appears near the top of the page.
  4. Click Open Claim Portal when you are ready to verify or share the public claim page.

Key details:

  • In the live state, the schedule is locked and the focus shifts from setup to distribution.
  • The claim portal banner is the fastest way to verify that the campaign is publicly reachable.
  • The campaign is now in the claim phase, so the next operator task is monitoring activity and claims.

Once the campaign is Approved, the setup flow is no longer the main task. From this point, you are managing a live claim experience.

Common mistakes:

  • refreshing too quickly and assuming the launch failed before the status updates
  • missing the shift from Deposited to Approved
  • treating the live claim page as optional verification

Step 3. Open and verify the Claim Portal

The Claim Portal dialog gives you the shareable URL and a QR code for distribution.

UI elements:

  • Share Claim Portal dialog
  • Claim Portal URL
  • QR code section

What to do:

  1. Click Open Claim Portal from the live campaign screen.
  2. Review the Claim Portal URL shown in the dialog.
  3. Use Open in New Tab to verify the public page.
  4. Use Copy Link if you want to distribute the URL directly.
  5. Expand the QR section and use it when you want to share the campaign in mobile-friendly formats.

Key details:

  • The dialog is built for verification and sharing, not for campaign editing.
  • The QR code is useful when the claim link is shared in events, chats, or social posts.
  • This is the safest place to confirm you are distributing the correct live claim URL.

Common mistakes:

  • sharing the link before checking it in a new tab
  • copying the wrong URL from another environment
  • forgetting that the live claim link should match the campaign you just approved

Success Looks Like

  • Start Airdrop runs successfully
  • the campaign status changes to Approved
  • Claim portal is live appears on the page
  • the Claim Portal dialog shows the live URL and QR code

Common Mistakes

  • trying to launch before checking the schedule
  • assuming launch is complete before the status changes to Approved
  • sharing the claim link without verifying the dialog contents

Next Step

Once the campaign is live, the next task is to watch claims, activity, and campaign status.

Continue to Monitor Claims and Activity.
